• Vidhu Vinod Chopra is planning a new film based in Kashmir. He says the project is still being finalised. Working titles have been 'Kashmir', 'Karaahat', but Vidhu says that "I haven't called it anything so far." It seems that Akshaye Khanna who was slated to star withdrew as his mother was terrified at the thought of beta Akshaye filming in the bleeding valley of Kashmir - a terrorist stricken place. Chopra denies this, and adds that he has approached Shah Rukh Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Bobby Deol for the film. "But until the script is ready I can't finalise the cast," says Chopra.

Among the select invitees, there were Neelam, Sonali Bendre, Aishwarya Rai, Jackie Shroff, David Dhawan, Shakti Kapoor (gasp), singer Kamal Khan and his steady date Amrita Arora, and newcomer Divya Palat. Surprisingly, the party wound up pretty quickly, indicating that perhaps Salman is mellowing.
